SD JCI Senator Nominating Steps

Criteria for Senatorship - 5 years membership in good standing in the Jaycees (includes years served in the Jaycee alumni program.)

Complete the Senator Application - Here is the correct version of the form as of 2012.

click the "Forms and Documents" tab
Senate form is near the top of the list.
Mail the completed application and check for $300 to:

$300 to the Junior Chamber International
(Yes! 2 separate checks are needed)
Mail a second check for $35 made out to SD JCI Senate to:

(Sending a copy of the Senate application to Marsha is very helpful. This $35 covers the first year of member dues and the cost of a frame for the certificate. Marsha should also be listed in the surprise presentation contact information on the Senate application form.)

Marsha Dahl can:

frame the certificate and create a SD JCI Senate letter of welcome, so the Senatorship is ready to be presented at the next South Dakota Jaycee meeting as long as she receives the Senator information 1 week before the event where the presentation is made.
Please note that Senatorships are usually presented as a surprise, so some stealth may be necessary to keep the recipient in the dark!
If you need some creative ideas for getting a long-time member to come to a state convention for the presentation, just ask any Senator!
